Austin Raymond Potts' Obituary
Raymond as he was fondly called was born on March 11, 1935 in Clay City, Kentucky. He lived the majority of his life in Dayton, Ohio which is where he met Norma. They were married March 13, 1959 in Tampa, Florida. They had two boys and raised a family together for 64 years. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps but spent most of his life as a general contractor working on both residential and commercial projects. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing his guitar in his leisure time.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Potts; sister Wilma DeLaney of Titusville, Florida, grandson, Austin William Potts(Jennifer Potts) of Lakeland, Florida; grandson, Casey Ryan Potts(Carley Potts) of Lecanto, Florida; granddaughter, Heather Nicole Potts of Citrus Springs, Florida; six great grandchildren, Mason Potts, Jace Potts, Reese Potts, Jack Potts, Chloe Scott, and Cameron White; and brother-in-law Harold Wovries of San Francisco, California; as well as his extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons Ronald Lee Potts and Daniel Eugene Potts; brother, Shirley Potts Jr.; sister, Peggy Ann Rohner; and sister, Gail Delee Potts.
