Audrey Brower's Obituary
Audrey Carson Brower, 86, of Ozona, Florida peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was born August 24, 1935 in Greenwood, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Edward Clifford Carson and Ruby Parnell Carson. She graduated from Lakeland High School where she was a member of the Homecoming Court. On April 10, 1955, Audrey married the love of her life, Clayton Brower, in Lakeland. Together, the two shared almost 60 years of marriage. Audrey served as a church pianist throughout her life beginning at age 14. She was sought to play the piano in a number of venues due to her exceptional skill.
Audrey is survived by her grandchildren, Garrett Hatcher and Meredith Houston and her great-grandchildren, Bentley Hatcher, Jacob Hatcher, Koston Hatcher, Aubrey Houston and Autumn Houston.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Patti Brower Hatcher; her loving husband, Clayton Maynard Brower and her parents, Edward Clifford Carson and Ruby Parnell Carson.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 23 at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel in Lakeland. Visitation and an informal reception will begin at 1:00 pm. A brief graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
