GARLAND, TX. - Ashley McDermott, 29, formerly of Lakeland, passed away in Garland, Texas, March 2, 2015. Ashley was born in Lakeland, June 18, 1985, and grew up in Garland, Texas, where she graduated from North Garland High School in 2003. She was employed by Red Robin, Inc. where she was an excellent server and bartender. She loved all her customers and treated them like family. She was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and the Florida Gators. She loved playing as well as watching soccer, dancing, music, going to concerts and spending as much time as she could with her son by going to the movies and various other events. Ashley is survived by her son Brenton Stevens; her father and step mother Roger and Liz McDermott; her mother and step father Tina (Hampton) and Walt Capik; brothers, Patrick McDermott and Dylan Carter and sister, Haley Carter; her grandparents Charles and Barbara McDermott and Ann Hampton Graddy and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Reson Thomas 'Mickey' Hampton and William Harold Graddy.
Memorial services will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland.
