Arthur Robert Treadway's Obituary
Arthur Robert Treadway passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his children in Mulberry, Florida. Robert was born May 1, 1932 to Arthur and Goldie Treadway in Marietta, Ohio. The oldest of 3 children.
Robert served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal and was a cook from January 1952 to December 1953. During his Army career, he served in the Korean War.
He met his lovely bride Mary Evelyn Huntzman and they married June 4, 1955 in Marietta, Ohio. They resided in Marietta until August 1, 1981 where they then called Florida their home until their homecoming to the Lord.
Robert's career after the Army found him in the Grocery industry. Where he retired as a produce manager from Winn Dixie Stores. Robert's hobbies were spending time with his family and friends and woodworking.
Robert is survived by his sister Donna Painter; children, Richard (Merribeth), Fred (Terry), Barb (Scott) Zimmerman, Bryan (April), and Lori (Mark) Lowenthal; Twenty-Seven Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren. Three nephews, Gary (Michelle) Painter, Doug and Kevin Thomas.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Goldie Treadway, wife Mary (Huntzman) Treadway, sister Corine Thomas, daughter Belinda Jo Treadway.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017, at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, Florida 33801 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Osborn officiating.
Graveside Services will be held on July 15, 2017, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1035 Greenlawn Lane, Lowell, OH 45744 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Jackson officiating.
