Arthur Lee Marshall's Obituary
Arthur Lee Marshall, 85, passed away on February 21, 2023.
He was born in Yuma, CO to Loyd and Maria Marshall on July 6, 1937. Arthur attended school in Yuma, and later lived in Texas, before moving to Lakeland, Florida 7 years ago. He met his true love, Elsie, in 1955, and they married on April 24, 1956. Their love for each other never wavered until their passing.
Arthur enlisted into the United States Army and was assigned to the Airborne Division where he served 4 years for his country; he was then honorably discharged. After his time in the Army, he worked a hand full of jobs, sometimes 2 at a time. He worked for Safeway stocking shelves at night, and for Steadley Innersprings, retiring from Steadley after 35 years. Arthur then worked for O’Reilley Auto Parts for 11 years.
Arthur enjoyed bowling, playing pool, men’s fastpitch softball, latched rugs, growing a garden, word find puzzles, tinkering with cars & lawnmowers, and watching Houston Astros baseball with his wife. He was a devoted husband always and had a kindhearted spirit.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Elsie, his mother Marie, father Loyd, brothers Leonard, Everett, Orval, Ted and sister Irma.
He is survived by his children Kerry of Brenham, Texas, Pam of Federal Heights, Colorado, Keven and wife Tab of Lakeland, Florida, and Randy of Bryan, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be send to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3470 Lakeland Hills Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33805.
