Arthur "Omer" Deslongchamps' Obituary
Arthur “Omer” Deslongchamps died at the age of 90 in Lakeland, Florida on October 3, 2021.
He was born in Three Rivers, MA December 10, 1930 to Willie and Yvonne Deslongchamps. He was an Air Force veteran having served in the occupation of Japan and served during the Korean War. He served six years in the service. He retired from the Warren Police Department in 1992 and from Warren Pump as production manager in October 1994.
Omer served as Warren Civil Defense Director, President of the Warren Police Association, and Vice President of Massachusetts Coalition of Police Offers AFL-CIO Local 177-A. He also served as Deputy Police Chief under Policy Chief Walter Thompson, and was a member of The American Production and Inventory Control Society.
Omer leaves friends Priscilla Rodgers of Dudley, MA; Sandra Kane of Ludlow, MA; John and Jennie Harmon of Lakeland, FL; and Dave Henry of Shrewsbury, MA.
Omer will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren, MA next to his son Aaron who passed away June 25, 1994 at the age of eighteen. There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Warren Police Association or The American Cancer Society.
