Arlene Myrtle Purinton Ruhle's Obituary
Arlene Myrtle Purinton Ruhle, born March 9, 1928, in Fort Edward, New York passed away on May 4 in Lakeland, Florida.
Arlene managed a Gravely Tractor dealership before working as a bookkeeper at Lakeland Frame and Axle for 16 years. She then spent 11 years in the accounting department at Publix Super Markets in their corporate offices. Upon retirement, she volunteered at Lakeland Regional Health and VISTE.
Her former husband, Irving Frank Ruhle, Jr., her parents, John S. and Elmira Dumas Purinton, and her brother, Byron Purinton, precede her in death. She is survived by her son, Gary Irving Ruhle (Kay), of Lakeland and her granddaughter, Jessica Kay Ruhle, of Durham, North Carolina.
A celebration of life service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 715 Cornelia Avenue, Lakeland, Florida at 11:00 am on May 25, followed by a reception at 4903 South Devonshire Lane in Lakeland. Interment will take place at Gurn Springs Cemetery in Wilton, New York on a date to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or VISTE.
