Archie "David" Yates' Obituary
Archie “David” Yates, of Polk City, passed on to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 14.
Born on January 12, 1962, in Polk County, Florida, David was the beloved son of Archie Yates and Frances Fay Griner Yates, whom he preceded in death, as well as his sisters, Frieda Adams and Charlotte Adams.
David was a man who found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved being outdoors and took quiet satisfaction in tinkering, building, and creating with his hands. Whether working on a project or sharing a story, he brought a great sense of humor and quick wit that brightened the lives of those around him. Above all, he was deeply devoted to his family, who brought him his greatest happiness.
He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Candace Mills (Chris), Julie Jeter (Cefn), William Rentz Jr. of Polk City, Jenee Anderson Arenda of Lakeland, and Eddie Anderson of Pennsylvania; his Aunt Margaret Parrish of Polk City; and his many great-nieces and great-nephews, who will cherish his steady presence, kind heart, and the memories they shared.
David’s legacy lives on in the things he built, the laughter he shared, and the love he so freely gave.
