Anthony Philip Patrinostro's Obituary
Lakeland - Anthony Philip (Tony) Patrinostro, 72, died March 2, 2023 due to natural causes. The son of Philip Anthony and Dolly Andina Patrinostro, Tony was born September 30, 1950 at the Dr. A.A. Gonzalez Clinic in Ybor City, FL, initially built by Vicente Martinez Ybor as the Ybor City Land and Improvement Company, later known as the ‘haunted’ Don Vicente de Ybor Historic Inn.
Raised in Winter Haven and then Lakeland, he graduated from Lakeland High in 1968 and attended Fla. Institute of Technology in Melbourne, before moving to Tucson, AZ for work in early computer data processing and publishing while attending Arizona State University, then to Peoria, IL. Returning to Lakeland in 1974, Tony was a self-taught marine mechanic while racing boats on the APBA circuit. Later a graphic designer for the sign industry and completed many thousands parachute jumps; all successfully. The original Dylan and Arlo Guthrie Fan, he enjoyed playing guitar and was interested in folk music, aviation, math, physics, science, and politics. Tony is survived by his son, Philip Anthony Patrinostro, Lakeland; Sisters Patricia Schmitt, Christmas, Florida; Phyllis (Jodie) Rodda, Linda Richardson, Nina Moose (Rob) Cornelius, and Brother Stephen Patrinostro; all of Lakeland; a very large extended family and anyone else who may be reading this.
