Anthony B Dolce's Obituary
Anthony B. Dolce, aged 88 years, passed away peacefully in his home in Lake Wales, Florida, on September 23, 2022.
Anthony (Tony) was born in New York City on June 3, 1934, the second youngest son of Giacomo and Elvira Dolce. Tony had three siblings Jack, Joseph, and Rose.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen Dolce of Lake Wales, Florida, his Son, Anthony, Daughter-in-law, Kristin, and three beautiful grandchildren, Ava Kathryn, Sophia Elizabeth and Nicholas Anthony of Orchard Park, New York. Tony was also known fondly as Uncle Tony, or Anthony to many of his nieces and nephews.
Tony grew up in an old fashioned Italian household. After high school he joined the United States Army. After his Army service, he became involved in printing technology and came to own his own printing business. He sold the business and spent the remainder of his professional years working for a company called Transkrit. Tony held many positions at Transkrit. The last position he held prior to retirement was Vice President of Marketing. Tony was awarded a United States patent for a creative business form design while at Transkrit.
Anyone close to Tony can recall his true love for sweets. “Cake first, then dinner” was his motto. One of Tony’s many specialties were his rice balls (arancini).
Tony enjoyed carpentry. One of his biggest accomplishments as a carpenter was building a country home in the Catskill Mountains. This home was recreational, but very special, as much of the family would congregate to their “country houses” in the same general vicinity weekend after weekend, to take a break from city living, and to enjoy and celebrate one another.
Tony truly enjoyed life. He had no regrets. Family was everything. Tony will be greatly missed.
A church service and celebration of life will be held at the Nativity of our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Avenue, Orchard Park, New York 14127 on October 15th at 10:00am. Family and Friends are welcome.
