Anece Barton's Obituary
Lakeland – Anece Barton, 84, passed away Apr. 1, 2018 at Highlands Lake Center.
Anece was born in Lakeland on Feb. 21, 1934, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Lakeland High School.
Anece was preceded in death by her husband, David Barton; and brother, Michael Canady. She is survived by her daughter, Janece Mitchell; son, Greg Barton; twin sister, Alece Pemberton; brother, Edmund Canady; grandchildren, Gretchen King and Ashlee Barton; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sat. from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral chapel, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
