Alvin was a dear childhood friend of my 2 brothers, Gilbert and Clyde Tanner, both deceased and he graduated from AHS in 1959 with Gilbert. They played football for the Auburndale Hounds. I saw Alvin at WalMart a couple of years ago and got a big hug. I always loved the stories those Tanner boys and Meadows boys shared growing up. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his children, grandchildren, his siblings and the many friends he left behind. May he rest in peace as he was one of the good ole boys growing up in Auburndale.
