Althea Joyce Hulzebos, 83

LAKELAND -- Althea Joyce Hulzebos of Lakeland died Saturday (May 2, 2015) at Valencia Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 83.
Born in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada on February 20, 1932 to Harry & Thelma Pomeroy. She came to Lakeland in 1992 after her journey took her to Middletown, N.J., Jonesville, N.C., and Coeburn, Va. Employment included LRMC Wee Care, School teacher, and a Pastor's Wife. She was a member of Trinity Christian Center in Lakeland.
Althea was preceded in death by her Husband of 50 years, Rev. Abel Hulzebos, her daughter, Dena Bruggeling, and her grandson, Paul Jason Hulzebos. She is survived by her sons, Paul K. Hulzebos (Wife Kimberly) of Lacey, Wash., Philip K. Hulzebos (Wife, Valonne), Lakeland; brother, Bert Pomeroy (Shirley), Fort Erie, Ontario; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Saturday (June 6, 2015) at Trinity Christian Center.
