Rev. Allen Earl Balsley's Obituary
Rev. Allen Earl Balsley went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2020 at the age of 87. He was a resident of Winter Haven, FL. He was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Jean Balsley; daughters, Angela Slomowitz (Marc), Connie Christiansen (Brian), and Kristi Scott (Thomas); son, Keith Balsley (Linda); 10 grandchildren, Scott Straub, Steve Straub, Benjamin Christiansen, Cassandra Bruner, Todd Balsley, Lauryn Balsley, Tyler Slomowitz, Brett Balsley, Grant Scott, and Jacob Scott; and 10
great-grandchildren.
He is originally from North Liberty, IN. He graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. He was a minister for 30 years. He pastored Broadview Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, FL and Shepherd Road Baptist Church in Mulberry, FL.
He enjoyed photography, woodworking, golfing, and spending time with family; but, his passion was serving the Lord through loving people, preaching the Gospel, and leading people to Christ, all with a kind and gentle spirit.
There will be a celebration of life service to honor him and his wife on August 15th at 2PM. The service will be held at Faith Baptist Church (2140 Crystal Beach Road, Winter Haven, Fl. 33880).
