Abbie Margaret Dorgan (Van Dam)'s Obituary
Abbie Margaret Dorgan, age 91, died April 25, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida. Abbie was born November 4, 1928 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Abbie was one of the first women to earn her pilots license at age 17 with the Kalamazoo Aviation Club. She was co-owner operator of Dorgan Wholesale Drapery Fabrics, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, grand-children and great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Robert E. Dorgan, son, Thomas R. Dorgan and daughter, Michelle S. Scott.
She is survived by her son, Patrick M. Dorgan of Arvada, Colorado, son in law, Dr. Gregory Scott of Auburndale, Florida, daughter in laws, Roberta Dorgan of Colorado and Ingrid Dorgan of Santa Fe, New Mexico, grandsons, Jonathan Scott, Patrick Scott, Paul Scott of Lakeland, Florida, grand daughter Erica Dorgan of Arvada, Colorado, grand daughters in law, Lisa Scott, Katy Scott and Roxie Scott, and great grandchildren, Robert Scott, Ellen Scott and Luke Scott.
