Valerie Lynn Payne Anderson was the daughter of Ronnie Payne and Kathy Seymour, and the stepdaughter of Aileen Payne. She leaves behind her children: Savannah Lynn Anderson, Lily Marie Anderson, Cheyenne Lee Cox, Forest James O'Steen, and Mason Ray Van RomPaey, her Fiancé Michael Van RomPaey, mother-in-law Rose Ann Van RomPaey, her siblings: Heather Lynn Seymour, Robert Keith Seymour (Kayla), Amanda Rose Seymour Moyer (Matt), Kevin Seymour (D'yanna), and Rachel Ascione Mulhearn (Chris). She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Payne Jr.

Valerie graduated from Seffner Christian High School in 2003 and continued her education at Irwin Nursing School in Tampa, where she earned her LPN degree in 2011, graduating in the top five percent of her class. She worked at the Watson Clinic and Clark & Daughtrey Clinic. She played center on the Seffner Christian High School basketball team and in 2003 they won the state championship! Valerie also played volleyball.

She was a guest on the Sean Hannity radio talk show speaking about what it was like to lose her brother in the war and she shared her conservative values too. Valerie made a profession of faith at an early age at Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of Vivid Church on the south side. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 24th at 10am, with a funeral service to follow at 11am, at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL. Burial will be at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland.
