Thomas Allen Colvin II, affectionally known as "Tommy", who was 41 years old, passed away at his residence on December 23, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1983, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, where he spent his entire life. He was the son of Thomas Colvin (Tom) and Phyllis Colvin. At the time of his birth, he had two older siblings, Sabrina and Serina, making him the youngest in the family. Tommy attended Kathleen High School and later obtained his GED. He met Hope, and shortly thereafter, they welcomed their daughter Patience Colvin, on August 3, 2006. He was formerly a partner in a tree service and enjoyed working as a handyman. In his leisure time, Tommy cherished moments with family and friends, collected antiques and coins, and enjoyed gambling. He had a love for the outdoors, horse riding, and dirt biking. Tommy was always available to support his loved ones in times of need. He was a great listener and offered thoughtful advice. Known for his talkative nature, he was never hesitant to share his feelings. Tommy was a genuinely kind person who easily made friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Colvin, and his niece, Becca Lynn Sutton. He is survived by his daughter, Patience Colvin; his father, Thomas Colvin (Tom); his siblings, Sabrina (Andy) Byerss, Serina (Bobby) Sutton, Anthony Cumberbatch, and Bryan Cumberbatch; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew; and many aunts, and uncles. A funeral service is scheduled for January 3, 2025, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, located at 3350 Mall Hill Dr.. Lakeland, FL 33810. In Lieu of flowers, donations for the family are welcomed.
