Lakeland – Mr. Theodore "Ted" Dallas Buckner passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and moved to this area In 1968. Ted was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a longtime volunteer in the Polk County Schools, primarily with Kathleen Middle School and Lake Gibson High School.

Ted is survived by his wife, Mary W. Buckner; sons, Devlon (Mynu) Buckner of Lithia, FL, Daniel Buckner of Lakeland, Richard (Barbara) Fleming of South Carolina and a granddaughter, Alyssa Buckner of Lakeland.

A memorial service with military honors will be conducted on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 10:00am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, FL 33810.

Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
