George (Steve) and Wendy Darlene (Krieg) Parrish, 54 and 52, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Steve was born on October 3, 1971. Wendy was born on July 8, 1974. Steve and Wendy were married on February 26, 2000. They were married for 26 amazing years and were the love of each other’s lives.

They are survived by their three children, Zachary Stephen, Meagan Nichole, and Robert Scott, as well as their mothers, Joanne Smith and Faye Krieg, and Wendy’s brother, Aaron (Rob) Krieg.

Nieces Brianna (Krieg) Smith (Brandon Smith), Brianna (Canter) Ortega (Erik Ortega and children Erika, Damien, and Logan), and Samantha (Canter) Sidorowicz (David Sidorowicz and son Wesley); and nephew Robert Canter (Terya Canter).

Wendy and Steve were preceded in death by Steve’s best friend/brother, Scotty “Jed” Colburn, as well as his younger sister, Shona (Davis) Canter; Wendy’s father, William “Bill” Krieg; and Steve and Wendy’s grandparents, Goldie and Twin Embry and Rosa Mae Parrish.

Wendy and Steve were amazing and caring people, taking their children’s friends in as their own, such as Cornelius “CD” Sanchious, Jordan Miles-Weeks, Jamaica Miles,  Kenny Weeks, Tay Moore, and Angel Acevedo. They loved greatly and openly to anyone and anything.

They are joining the family dog, Gator, and leaving behind Chop and Dobby, who they both loved endlessly.

It was all-knowing Steve was the biggest Florida Gator fan, and he passed that love to his children. They both loved to swim, whether it was the pool or ocean, and loved to hang out and be with their family.

They were also dreamers, wanting to travel the world together and have many adventures. They were both tremendous and loving people with lots of love and wisdom to share.
