Lakeland – Shirley W. Warren, 89, passed away Aug. 30, 2018. She was born in Smithfield, North Carolina on May, 1, 1929. She met and married Carl "Smokey" Warren in 1947. She loved her family and doing for others. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she served others for years in the sewing group and the Bereavement Committee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Smokey" Warren; her daughter, Teresa Horn; her granddaughters, Sarah Beard and Kimberly Rippy. She's survived by her daughters; Beverly Rippy, Catherine Beard Hill and Carla Morey (Kevin); her sister, Joyce Thompson; grandchildren, Allison Pate, Michael Rippy (Jenifer), Steve Rippy (Katie), Robin Carroll, Melanie Beasley (Phil), Laura Beard, James Morey and Mark Morey; great grandchildren, Jessica Holley, Josh Thompson, Kaylee Pate, Abi & Ava Rippy, Ethan, Adi, Isley & Evanlea Rippy, Trace Carroll, Jaxson & Braydon Buscemi, and Grayson & Anderson Beasley; great-great grandchildren: Brantlee and Declyn. Graveside services will be Wed. Sept. 5, 2018 at 10 am at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland.
