Shane David Ferreri's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shane Ferreri, 43, of Plant City, Florida, on July 6, 2025. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Shane graduated from Boardman High School in 2000. He moved to the Lakeland area more than eighteen years ago, where he built a life full of love, purpose, and dedication.
In October of 2010, Shane married the love of his life, Nicole (Frease) Ferreri. Together, they created a warm and loving home for their two children, Ethan and Tenley, who were the light of his life. Shane’s love as a father was hands-on, heart-led, and unwavering. He taught by doing, by listening, and by showing up—always. His children grew up knowing they were seen, supported, and cherished beyond measure.
Shane dedicated his career to building and maintaining 911 systems throughout multiple Florida counties. He had a deep passion for muscle cars, home improvement projects, gardening, computers, and electronic engineering. He could turn anything he came across into a project and complete it with remarkable skill and attention to detail. Known for his boundless knowledge, creative talents, and exceptional problem-solving skills, Shane freely shared his gifts with those around him.
He had a helping heart and was always ready with a tool in hand or a thoughtful word. His wisdom and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. With a generous spirit and calm presence, Shane uplifted others simply by being himself—his advice was a comfort, his character a gift.
Shane is survived by his devoted wife, Nicole Ferreri; their beloved children, Ethan and Tenley; his father, Dave Ferreri; his sister, Tiffany Ferreri (Emad Barakat); brothers-in-law, Michael Rentz and Timothy Frease (Rachel); and nieces and nephews: Laith, Laila, Israa, and Aya Barakat, as well as Abagail, Bridget, and Zachary Frease. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Tice.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors—all of whom were touched by his kind heart, generous spirit, and genuine nature. His memory will live on in the lives he so generously touched.
