Sam A. Burton was born on February 6, 1953 in Hollywood, Florida to Edgar and Bernice Burton. He died at Bartow Regional Hospital on February 24, 2025. He was in the asphalt business for many years. Sam had love for his family and a passion for all things cruising, Disney, remote control cars, motorcycles, fishing, and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Alonzo and daughter Jennie.
