Sally’s life was a testament to service and dedication. She worked as a waitress in the restaurant industry, most notably at Red Lobster, where she was beloved by colleagues and patrons alike until her retirement at the age of 70. Sally adored her children and dedicated herself wholly to their well-being, always putting their needs first and standing by them in every circumstance.
A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Sally embodied the true nature of a Christian through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, thirteen of her siblings, and one granddaughter, Donna.
Sally is lovingly survived by her devoted children: Gary Morgan, Wayne Morgan (Cathy), Glenn Morgan (Becky), Karen Cruce (Jimmy), Carol Pridgen (Abdul), Rhonda Lester (Pat), and Tammy Ortiz. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Ryan, Alicia, Dana, Ace, Jake, Melinda, Cindy, Richard, Allen, Laurie, Scotty, Jennifer, Kathy, James, Jordan, David, Derek, and Steven; 44 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings Mack, Tutti, Joanne, and Gladys.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM and a funeral service on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM, both at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. A committal service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland.
Sally’s legacy of love, service, and faith will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
