Rosemary (McCaffrey) Baumgartner
Rosemary “Rose” Baumgartner 73, Died at home of Natural Causes after suffering with multiple long
term illnesses for years, Febuary 12, 2022. She was born May 28, 1948, in Muncie, IN, the nineth child
of Edgar F. Spencer and Mary E. (Whisman) Spencer.
Rosemary graduated from Travis Vocational Techinical Center’s LPN Program Class of 1989 Following
graduation she worked at the County Hospital in Bartow as a OB nurse until 1992. She then moved to
Indiana and became a private duty pediatric nurse until her retirement in 2010.
In addition to both of her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Spencer, Wanda Ramsey,
and Larua Welsh, and brothers E. Charles Spencer, and D. Howard Spencer, grand-daughter Alexia
McCaffrey. and husband of 30 years and father of her children Larry A. McCaffrey. She is survived by a
sister Barbra Cooke, and brothers Jim Spencer and L. Richard Spencer, her two children John
McCaffrey (Toni McCaffrey), Katrina Thews (Jerry Thews) and a grandson that she had adopted Kevin
McCaffrey. She had four other grandkids, Miranda Hillman, Michaela Vileikis, John “LJ” McCaffrey, and
Kaitlyn McCaffrey, and four great- grandchildren.
