Ronald "Buddy" Slay, 59, passed away August 1, 2018. Born December 15, 1958, in Bartow, he was a son of the late Charles Slay and Claudia Pendergras; and was also preceded in death by a brother, "Bo" Slay. "Buddy" loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include Janice Slay; son, James Slay; 2 granddaughters, Bailey and Delaney; 2 brothers, Tommy and Freddy; 6 sisters, Sharon, Jeanie, Sandra, Karen, Sula, and Joyce. A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
