Rodney Stuart Hankison, 68 of Lakeland passed away on December 24, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona with his loving wife by his side. Rodney was born in Fredericksburg, VA to the late, Donald and Lucille Hankison. He moved to Lakeland over twenty years ago and was of the Christian Faith. He was the owner of Rodney's Transmission Shop in Fredericksburg, VA which remains in operation today. He was an engineer and worked in many capacities within that specialty. Mr. Hankison was an avid pilot and shared his experience with others as a flight instructor, teaching them how to safely navigate the skies and enjoy the freedoms flight has to offer. He loved motorcycle and sea plane racing and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his loving wife and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Hankison. Survivors include his wife of nine years, Norah Jaiseri Hankison; daughters, Carly and Jennifer Hankison and step-son Rafael Jaiseri. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Rodney will be announced soon.
