Dear Janet and family,
When we received word that Glenn had passed our hearts broke. I pray that you will feel Christ's comfort during this hard time. Glenn was a wonderful man and friend. He was family, my sons have grown up with "Uncle" Glenn...whether it was driving around Polk County during the campaign, with me threatening him because of his lead foot, my boys in the back seat laughing...to Glenn climbing Whiteside mountain with us while identifying every tree around us...having lunch at the Reynolds gazebo in NC while he told stories to my grandson. He was always teaching. The Ely family has so many memories of Glenn...he was one of the best men I have ever known. As I am writing this message...I am laughing and crying because of the times we all shared. I know he has left a big hole in your family, because he had left a huge hole in ours.
We love y'all.
Twyla & Ken Ely and family
