ROBERT FRANCIS GREEN, P.E., 81
LAKELAND - Robert 'Bob' Green passed away on 5/17/15. He was born 6/3/33, in Hamburg, NY, to John Joseph and Francis Kitching Green. Green attended Erie Technical Institute and University of New York. He was a member of the U.S. Army MPs during the Korean Conflict and was stationed on the 38th parallel to guard the peace talks. Green moved to FL in 1959 and earned his professional engineering license. He moved to Lakeland in 1972, working for Wellman Lord, G-M Industrial Ent. and his own engineering consulting company. After working for the City of Lakeland as city engineer from 1991 to 1998, he went back into private practice.
Green is survived by his wife Gail, son Peter, daughter Lori Vaughan, daughter Robin, stepson John Hileman (Stephanie), stepdaughter Deborah Hartman (Michael), five grandsons, one great-grandson, brother John (Sandee), brother Wilford (Lynn) and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.
