Robert Jeffrey Doverspike, 65, of Lakeland graced the gates of Heaven on February 15, 2021. Also known as Jeff or "Spike", he was born on May 02, 1955 in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Jeff was survived by his three daughters, Jennifer (Greg) of Auburndale, Jessica of Lakeland, and Erica of Ohio. He was also survived by his three granddaughters, Taylor, Addison, and Victoria, and one grandson, Theo. Jeff had two sisters, Vicki, and Lindy (Rick). He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Peggy Doverspike. Jeff not only respected his country but served in the United States Army from 1974 – 1977. He worked for CSX for thirty-five years maintaining their signals and building lifelong friendships. He was a member of the Lakeland Rifle & Pistol club, American Legion, and a lifetime member and avid supporter of the NRA. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or Wounded Warrior. Both charities Jeff donated to every year.
