Richard "Dick" Wilson died unexpectedly in Lakeland, FL on October 14, 2017 at the age of 81. Dick was born in 1936 in New Haven, CT to John R Wilson and Anna Flanagan. He moved to Lakeland in 1989 after raising his family in Byfield, MA since the early 1970's. Dick had a long and renowned career in the movie theater industry while maintaining an active passion for circus as a fan and agent. He was an usher at St. Anthony's RC church. Dick is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gayle; sons John of Lakeland, FL and Larry of Avon, CT. He is preceded in death by his daughter Diane Denise. Visitations will be Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 4 – 6pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home; 3350 Mall Hill Road, Lakeland, FL 33810. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Oct.18 at St. Anthony's Church, 820 Marcum Road, Lakeland, FL 33809.
