Richard L. Scott, 85, died September 13, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center Hospice. He was born an only child, in Phillipsburg, to Malcom and Jessie Scott. In 1944 he moved to the Italian side of Buffalo, NY - Thus his love for Pasta. In 1979, after a huge Buffalo snow storm, he moved his family to Lakeland, Florida to start his 3rd job of his life with Watkins Motor Lines. Worked there for over 27 years and continued for 5 years after FedEx purchase of Watkins Motor Lines. Retirement included a lot of Cruising with wife, Judy and Watkins friends, Greg & Linda Farmer and Floyd & Darlene Hayes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Judy, and daughter, Tracy (Brian) Grisham, granddaughters Kristen and Haley Grisham, grandsons Joshua Christ, Timothy Linton Jr and Tyler Linton, great granddaughters Krystal & Ophelia Grisham.

Proceeded in death by Father - Malcom & Mother - Jessie Scott, Daughter - Cheryl Linton.

Celebration of Life will be on October 14th, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at 3350 Mall Hill Dr, Lakeland, FL 33810.
