RICHARD PAUL BLISS, 49

PLANT CITY - Richard Paul Bliss of Plant City, FL, passed away on March 12, 2018 at the age of 49. Richard was born to parents Kay Gainous and Rick Bliss on August 13, 1968 in Winter Haven, FL. He grew up in Lakeland, FL, with his mother and stepfather John Gainous. After graduating Lakeland Senior High School, Richard began working in construction, and ultimately built and owned his own thriving construction company, Bliss Enterprises. Richard was a kind and loving son and brother with a tremendous sense of humor. He loved animals, fishing, and golfing. Most of all though, he loved his best friend, his mother. They were very close. Richard is survived by his parents, his brothers Blake Bliss and Jason Gainous, and his sister Shawndell Hand. He was cremated on March 16. His ashes are now in Louisville, KY, where the family is holding a private ceremony. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
