Norma Kitchens' Obituary
Norma Kitchens entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, July 13, 2020.
She was born in, and spent her final 4 years, in Lakeland Florida. Norma also lived in both Turkey Creek in the late 50’s and 60’s, then moved to Dade City, where she resided most of her life. She retired from the State of Florida Division of Probation and Parole, where she was an administrative secretary.
A great accomplishment for this beautiful lady was that she helped establish Clinton Ave Baptist Church in Dade City, now called Pasadena Baptist Church. Her tireless efforts there were heartfelt and in service to her Lord, and she touched the lives of many through her servant’s heart.
Norma was the best in every way. A strong woman of great faith, love and hope. She always had a kind word for those she loved. A great mom, granny, and great-granny... as her grands all called her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Marie Hallman, her sister, Clara Hallman Tidwell, her brother, Tony Hallman, and her beloved youngest daughter, Tina Kitchens, whom she raised for 49 years.
Norma is survived by her 3 daughters, Connie Flynn (Paul), Vonnie Sue Maples and Lisa Lauramoore (Dean). She has 5 grandchildren (& spouses) & 10 great grand children, all whom she loved very much.
She will be deeply missed but her legacy and wisdom will live on in our hearts forever. Many lives have been forever changed, and Heaven’s occupancy has been increased, because of the people that Norma led to Christ.
Services will be Friday, July 17 2020 at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr Lakeland FL.
Viewing for friends is 9:30-10:30am and her “Welcome Home” service will be at 10:30am.
