Obituary

Nicholas Alexander Snell, 19, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on December 1, 2022 in a tragic motorcycle accident, along with his brother Daniel Snell (21). Nicholas was born in 2003 to Daniel and Jennifer (Taake) Snell in Brandon, FL. Nicholas attended school at Tenoroc High School. While in high school, Nicholas began working in the fast food industry at McDonalds, Wendy's, and 5 Guys. He then kicked off his career with Publix at the Lakeland Dairy plant, where he was quickly adopted into the Publix family and even worked with his brother, Daniel, for a period of time. Nicholas was full of life and made friends everywhere he went, willing to talk with anyone he crossed paths with. Nick wore his heart on his sleeve and loved to help others. He was deeply passionate about his friends. For Nick, his friends were family. Nick absolutely loved fishing and spent countless hours with his uncle and grandfather fishing in central Florida. When he wasn't fishing, he was hanging out at truck meets, working extra hours to get that mustang he always wanted, wreaking havoc and wrestling with his brothers, and wrenching on cars and trucks with family and friends. Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Turner "Granny", great-uncle, Roger Taake, great-grandmother, Elsie Baker, and great-great-grandmother Grace Sexton "Big Granny". Nicholas is survived by his parents, Daniel and Jennifer Snell and his brother, Troy Snell. He is also survived by his grandparents Mark and Cheryl Snell & Gene and Shirley Taake, aunts and uncles, Emily and Brian Derry, Mark "Andrew" and Taryn Snell, Dana Snell, Sara Snell. Nicholas left behind many other loving friends, family, and co-workers. A viewing will be held at Gentry Morrison - Serenity Gardens Chapel on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 6pm-9pm. A celebration of life service is also expected to be held January 14, 2023 with more details to follow.
