Monique Roy Bratton's Obituary
Monique R Bratton, age 93, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida.
Born in the province of Quebec, Canada, Monique was the youngest of nine children. She is survived by her children, John (Nadine), Josée (Andreas) and Louise. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Monique was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, eight siblings and son-in-law, Mark.
Music was very important in Monique's life. She learned to play piano early in life. She and Bill were active members in a ballroom dance club. She enjoyed spoiling her friends and family with homemade desserts, going on long car rides, going to lunch with lady friends and eating chocolate.
The family is very thankful to the aides at Grace Manor and the Vitas Hospice staff for walking this journey with us.
A celebration of life will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Light refreshments will be served. Monique loved blue and white, so if you would like to wear these colors to honor her, she will be smiling down from heaven.
