Michael (Mike) Lee Schlee (58) unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, at his home in Lakeland, Florida. On March 31, 1968, Mike was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Leroy and Colleen Schlee. He spent most of his life in Wisconsin, graduating from Hamilton high school in 1986. In 2002 he met the love of his life, Karen. They were married on September 3, 2005.

The couple recently moved to the warmer climate of Florida. Mike was a dedicated diligent worker, who carried these values into all aspects of his life. In Florida, he became the Manager of the retirement community where they lived. When he was not working, he absolutely loved spending time with his wife outdoors, swimming, visiting the beach, eating crab legs with a cold Corona, and enjoying life. Mike always had a smile on his face and genuinely enjoyed talking and spending time with friends and family.

Mike joined his father, Leroy in heaven. He leaves behind his loving wife, Karen, mother, Colleen Schlee, brother Terry (Terry) Schlee, sister Robin (Todd) Raddatz, sister Stephanie (Ward) Gronewold and many other family and friends. Memorial service date pending.
