Michael Edward McFarland, age 72, passed away on July 10, 2024 in Sebring, Florida at Good Shephard Somers Hospice House after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 19, 1951, he is remembered by everyone by his constant smile. Mike attended Florida State University and the New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He served as an interim youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Riverview. For over 42 years, he was a salesman for Gorman Company of Tampa. Most of all, Mike loved Jesus, his family, friends and especially singing in any church choir. Mike is survived by his wife, Robin; daughter, Jessica Battaglia (Anthony); uncle, Jim Wiggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bobbie McFarland and sister Debbie McFarland. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27th from 9 - 10 am, followed by a 10 am memorial service at Victory Church-Light of Lights Chapel.
