Mercedes Michelle Scott, 30, of Lakeland, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Health.

Born on February 6, 1995, in Bartow, Florida, she was the beloved daughter of Randy and Sheryl (Minchew) Scott and a lifelong resident of Lakeland.

Mercedes dedicated several years to working in home healthcare, offering compassion and care to those in need. She was raised in the church and remained connected to Family Worship Center throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her brother Caleb Lamkin; her grandparents Betty and Bobby Scott, Daniel Minchew, and George Jenkins; and her great-grandmother Dorothy Minchew.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Randy and Sheryl Scott; her beloved son, Malachi; her brothers, Levi Scott and Randy Scott; her sisters, Sheleta Austin and Melissa Harris; her maternal grandmother, Irene Bush; and her paternal grandmother, Janet Jenkins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Family Worship Center, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Serenity Gardens.
