Mauro G. Goy, born on January 24, 1969, in Cordoba, Argentina, passed away on November 2, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida.
Mauro’s family was the center of his life. He loved his wife and children completely, and he took great pride in the adults his children became. That love was a constant presence, expressed in devotion, care, and quiet strength with which he stood beside those closest to him. Not a blind loyalty, but rather a loyalty that stood by you steadfastly, while also creating an environment of accountability.
Mauro will forever be known as a man of deep faith, who remained faithful to the end. It shaped the way he met the world and the way he cared for the people around him. As he prepared to continue his journey to Heaven he was more concerned about how his family was feeling than anything that he was experiencing.
He carried an incredible sense of humor, one that brought light to others without ever coming at anyone’s expense. His kindness was practical, immediate, and wholehearted. He was the sort of person who would give you the shirt off his back if he believed you needed it, and he would set aside whatever he was doing to help someone in need. Those who knew him experienced a generosity that was not occasional, but woven into the fabric of who he was.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Goy; his daughter, Alexandra Goy, and her husband, Alex Althauser; his son, Evan Goy; his mother, Ilda Wade; his sisters, Giselle Goy, Romina Goy, Georgina Element, and his brother-in-law, Adrian Element. He was preceded in death by his father, Herberto Goy, and his step-father, Graham Wade.
Mauro’s life was marked by faith, generosity, laughter, and love. He leaves behind a plethora of memories that will continue to live in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of floral offerings, the family requests donations be made in Mauro's memory to: Wings of Eagles, PO Box 92824, Lakeland, FL 33804, or by following this link, Donate to Wings of Eagles.
