Marvin “Bubba” W. Brice, Jr., 67, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Born on April 29, 1959, in Lakeland, Bubba was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He graduated from Kathleen High School in 1977 and began a career with Publix that spanned the entirety of this life. Starting in the Publix warehouse while still in high school, he worked diligently through the years, working as a selector after graduation, and ultimately becoming a truck driver for Publix. He retired in 2006 after 30+ years of dedicated service.
Bubba enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was happiest spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and going to the beach at Anna Maria Island. He was a big fan of UF Gators football. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin W. Brice, Sr. and Ruth (Wesche) Brice, and his sister, Marlene Brice.
He is survived by his brother, David (Debbie) Brice; his sister, Arlene May; his nephews, Joshua (Katie) May and Chandler (Jessica) Brice; his niece, Ashton (Stephen); and his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Stella May, Harper May, Holden Piciullo, Gavin Piciullo, Sawyer Brice, and Ainsley Brice.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
