Marjorie Poston Butler, 99, passed away on Oct. 8, 2024 at Carpenter's Estates. She was born in Lakeland, FL on Nov. 5, 1924. Marjorie was the last surviving member of the Kathleen High School Class of 1942. She also attended Lakeland Business Institute and was a Charter member of Parkview Baptist Church. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Minnesota Poston and her husband, Darnell F. Butler. She is survived by sons; Gary (Gay) Butler, Stephen (Jill) Butler, William (Lillia) Butler; Sister, Doris Poston; seven grandchildren; Eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15th from 10:00 – 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church. Services to begin at 11:00am with interment to follow in Socrum Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
