Margarette Folsom, 99, passed away December 26, 2023 at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Folsom was born on January 15, 1924, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to the late Dewey Richard and Flora Mae Harris. She moved to Central Florida in 1945 from Georgia. She was a homemaker, and member of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Plant City. Mrs. Folsom enjoyed gardening and working in her yard until her health no longer permitted her to at age 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Folsom; daughter, Phyllis Clark; and five of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Hooks; brother, Roy and sister, Sybil; her adopted family, Jorge, Beth, Georgie and Hector Rivera; seven grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1 pm at the mausoleum at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Folsom's honor to Lone Oak Baptist Church, 3505 Lone Oak Road, Plant City, FL 33567.
