Obituary

Margaret Ann Louie (Turner)

September 25, 1943 – September 9, 2026Margaret Ann Louie (Turner), age 82, passed away peacefully in Lakeland, Florida. Born on September 25, 1943, in Anniston, Alabama.Ann dedicated her life to a calling of faith and service, entering the ministry when she was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1967. Throughout her decades of leadership, she touched countless lives with her compassion and grace. Beyond her ministry, Ann had a deep appreciation for history and beauty, holding a lifelong love for antiques and anything Victorian. She was a woman of many simple joys—from playing the drum in her high school band to tending to her beautiful flower garden and plants. Her home was always filled with warmth, including the companionship of her beloved miniature dachshunds, Rudy and Molly, and her cat, TC. Above all, her absolute greatest joy in life was her role as a matriarch, doting endlessly on her expanding family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Michael Louie,Sr.; her son, Tom Michael Louie, Jr.; her son-in-law, Henry Ford Houston, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Nellie Turner; and her sister, Martha Sholty. Her legacy of love lives on through her surviving family: her daughters, Laura Schindler (Todd) and Kelly Williams (Leon); and her daughter-in-law, Virginia Louie. She was the deeply loved grandmother of Brittany Carr, Whitney Houston, Kahley Garcia, Michael Louie, Lindsey Schindler, Zachary Louie, Jared Williams, and Madison Williams; and the proud great-grandmother of Max, Violet, Killian, Indigo, Teylie, Julie, Ellie, Caleb, Arthur, Eli, Sophia, Vera, and Veda. A service celebrating her beautiful life and ministry will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at The Salvation Army Corps, located at 2425 William Booth Way, Lakeland, FL 33810. The family will welcome friends for fellowship beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
