Linda E. Parton Shivers, 86, passed away October 30, 2026.

Linda was born in Huntsville, Alabama on September 30, 1940, and moved to St. Pete, Florida in 1969, before settling in Lakeland in 1973. She was a long time member of Medulla Baptist Church in Lakeland where she enjoyed decorating for events and different seasons. She also enjoyed crafts and assisting with decorating different venues. 

Linda is survived by her husband, Neal Shivers of Lakeland; son, Jeff (Lori) Shivers of Lakeland; daughter, Jan Shivers (Britt) Watson of Lakeland; grandchildren, Steve (Becky) Shivers of Feasterville-Trevose, PA, Chris (Melanie) Watson of Lakeland, Tyler (Brittany) Shivers of Lake Mary, FL, Matt (Franny) Watson of Hickory, NC, Brittany Watson (Daniel) Vogel of Lakeland and Katherine Watson of Lakeland; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 am on Monday, November 9, 2026 at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Funeral services will follow at 10 am at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hollis Cancer Center or The Alzheimer's Association - Florida Gulf Coast Chapter for Polk County.
