Linda Marie McDow entered heaven on February 13, 2026. She was born on May 30, 1946, in Lake Wales to Johnnie Lee and Bertha Maude (Backus) Barberee. She was a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, selfless servant, faithful friend, proud American and devout Christian. She spent her life in service to others and was a resident of Lakeland, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Erle.

She is survived by: Her husband of 60 years, Wilbur Wayne McDow of Lakeland, FL. Sons - Anthony W. McDow (Holly) of Howey in the Hills, FL and Dwayne C. McDow (Christine) of Lakeland, FL. Sisters - Patsy Joyner (Ray) of Frostproof, FL; Barbara Stanford of Frostproof, FL. Sister-in-law Betty Barberee of Avon Park, FL. Grandchildren – Anthony (Amanda), Travis (Chelsie), Andrew (Claire), Matthew (Lindsay), Mark (Sarah), Matt (Ashley), Michael (Anna), Mark (Zulema) Great-Grandchildren – Logan, Keylee, Lydia, Kinsley, Saige, Rowen, Noah, Jordan, Leeum, Rylee, Aden, Leif, Rhen, Eden

Memorial Service to be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Friday 2/20/26 at 1:00pm
