Linda Fay Barnett Prevatt, 74, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family in Lakeland on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Born in Moulton, Alabama, Linda was the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Naymon) Barnett. She moved to Lakeland at a young age and remained a lifelong resident. Raised in a Pentecostal background, Linda carried her faith and values throughout her life.

On March 14, 1969, she married the love of her life, Walter "Sonny" Prevatt. Together they built a loving home and shared many cherished years together while raising their three children.

Linda will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her caring heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence brought comfort and strength to her family and friends, and her memory will be treasured always.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Walter "Sonny" Prevatt; son, Jody Prevatt (Carolina); daughters, Lori Judd (Kevin) and Patricia Jones (Phillip); granddaughters, Brittany (Rigo), Lauren, Mia, Ava, and Camilla; grandsons, Garrett (Gabrielle), Jacob, Reagan, and Abraham; and great-grandchildren, Adrian, Emersyn, Elliott, and Noa.
