Leticia Cataluña Jose of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully, at the age of 84, on June 9, 2023, due to natural causes. Leticia was born in La Paz, Iloilo, Philippines on December 24, 1938, the eldest daughter of Alfredo Cataluña and Anunsacion Sitchon.

She attended Jose Abad Santos High School in Binondo, Manila and finished her Bachelor of Science in Education Degree at the Philippine Normal University. She worked as a schoolteacher for many years and retired as a guidance counselor at Pedro Guevarra Elementary School. In addition to her working at the school, she enjoyed owning and operating a small neighborhood convenience store in Bulacan, Philippines from 1976 until 1998 when she moved to the United States and travelled with her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed solving word-search puzzles and watching her favorite Filipino shows.

Leticia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rodolfo Jose, and her brothers. Leticia leaves behind her daughters, Rodelia (Ronald) and Onelia (Joseph), her grandchildren, RJ, Ryan and Hailey, and her siblings and many other relatives and friends in the Philippines and in the US.

A mass will be offered at St. Anthony Catholic Church, to be followed by inurnment at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Lakeland, Florida. Please contact the family directly for schedule.
