Leslie Walter Costine, 89 Lakeland – Mr. Leslie Walter Costine, 89, passed away November 22, 2018. Mr. Leslie Costine was born in Lakeland, FL on February 12, 1929 to Walter and Exa Costine. He served in the US Army and was a member of the VFW for 55 years. He was a proud member of the Florida Cattleman's Association and was a true Florida cracker-cowboy. He loved his cows and his puppy, Lucky. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden. He is survived by the children that adopted him Faye, Beverly, Pat, Wayne, Emmette, and Byron. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Exa Costine; wife, Pauline Costine; brothers, Winefred and Alfred (Buddy) Costine, and long-time life companion Maxine Johnson. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11am at Socrum Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Cornerstone Hospice.
