Mr. Lanny Ray Davis, 63, passed away at Good Shepherd Hospice on Saturday,September 26, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on October 14, 1962, inSheffield, Alabama, he moved to Florida in 1965. He graduated from Mulberry High School in 1980 and worked as an Ironworker for Mulberry Welding, Fabri-Tech, and CCC Group, where he later served as Quality Control Manager. 
He loved reading his bible and thought of becoming a preacher one day. He loved grilling for his family, especially during the holidays and spending time with his boys. He loved to fish, watch racing and football. He showed pride in taking care of his yard and garden and helping his family during the annual Strawberry Festival, making fudge.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn A. Davis. He is survived by his father,Kenneth Jack Davis; his sons, Nathan R. Davis and Jarrod L. Davis [Beverly]; his brothers, Rickie W. Davis and Larry Dell Davis [Trisha]; his sister, Peggy A. Hall [Lonnie]; two grandchildren; Mckynzi Lynn, and Kyla Mae, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel in Lakeland, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m., with graveside services immediately afterward at Oak Hill Burial Park.
