Lanetta "Gayle"
Brown
October 9, 1953 – May 26, 2026
Lanetta "Gayle" Brown, born October 9, 1953, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those whose lives she touched so deeply.
Gayle was the daughter of Harvey and Estoria Brown. Throughout her life she carried the kindness, strength, and compassion that defined her beautiful spirit. She dedicated many years of her life as a talented hairdresser, where she not only styled hair but built lasting friendships and made countless people feel valued and cared for.
Gayle was preceded in death by her beloved life partner, Joe Fava.
She leaves behind her cherished son, Jerry Brown (Melissa); her loving sisters, Nedra Heath (Tom), Gloria Harrison (Levy), Faye Alexander (Larry), Ginger Fox (Danny), Lyndia Womble (Colin); her devoted brothers, Buster Brown (Gerilyn), Kenneth, JohnWayne, and Jimmy Rogers (Vickie); along with many cherished nephews and nieces. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Payton Brown (Chelsi), Maddison Brown, and Joseph Goss (Emma). Her joy grew even greater with the blessing of her great-grandson, Noah Brown.
Gayle had a huge heart and found happiness in helping others whenever she could. She treasured time spent with family and friends and found joy in life's simple pleasures — relaxing at the beach, crafting, shopping, working on puzzles, and especially spending time with her precious cats, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.
Her warmth, laughter, generosity, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us in person, the love and memories she shared will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
In honor of Gayle's memory and her love for animals, the family asks that donations be made to any local animal shelter.
